I stayed here for the 2nd time while attending a swim competition in Aberdeen with my 12 year old son. We enjoyed our first stay and found the hotel really comfortable. On this occasion, we were initially allocated a room in a really noisy part of the hotel. Since we just wanted to sleep, I asked reception for a quieter room, and was allocated one straight away without any hassle. This room was very comfortable and peaceful, so that was excellent. Great tea and coffee facilities in the room along with bottled water. I’m not sure what was going on with the shower, but it didn’t seem to work. No time to complain about that, so used the bath instead, which filled super quick. We ate dinner in the restaurant, I found my meal to be unacceptable (and I’m not usually one to complain) but the hotel graciously didn’t not charge for it. The breakfast was good, something for everyone.
If you’re thinking about parking a nice car there, be aware that the spaces are really narrow! I found one of the few spaces left in the car park and could hardly open my doors to get out. Ended up parking in a non space! The staff at the hotel are excellent, the beds are super comfortable, but there were those issues that let the stay there down. I guess if I stayed there again, I’d ask for a quiet room.
