The value for money is very hard to reconcile, it's extremely basic - which is great usually for a City break, however I would not stay here again because of the price. It is quite noisy if street facing, but nothing ear plugs doesn't fix. We were out in an accessible room due to limited space, which was sold to us as an upgrade (didn't enjoy that manipulation) where the bathroom looked like a public toilet and there was no shelfing. Won't stay here again, would rather be slightly outside of the core now I understand the City is very walkable. Overall, this was a rip-off.

I liked this hotel very much. It is extremely well-located, the staff is very nice and responsive, and it has nice views of a park. The motel name is misleading. It is a hotel, not a motel, and very appealing.

The layout was weird and definitely wasn’t a fan of the weird split level steps.. which I get they can’t change, but after a long day of traveling it sucked to carry luggage down multiple mini steps

Be in shape! Though great location to navigate for dining shopping & entertainment there's no parking on site so be prepared to hike the hills and steps. Cozy accommodations a bit snug but ok for person overnight not couple without feeling on top of each other. No view. No hand/washcloths. No tiny toiletries. At the price the breakfast should be included.

Great location. Directly across from the train station. Easy to carry bags. It's a German hotel, so efficient and clean. If you speak German, you will feel comfortable here. There are no closets/wardrobes to unpack and put away. The WiFi was free, so that was nice. I couldn't figure out how to use the TV apps or stream to it. I was bummed I forgot my Chromecast at home. Would I stay here again? Yes, but not for more than 5 nights. I would want a little more space and a place to put away my clothes.

Love this place!

First of all, the location is 5-star! So easy to walk the old town and its sights along with proximity to the Waverly train station and local bus stops. The room was very clean, kept up daily, and the bed was comfy. Breakfast downstairs was perfect and offered a great variety. The open seating for breakfast and a visit to the bar with the huge picture windows was lovely. All of the staff was helpful and friendly whenever we had questions about the area or needed assistance. The only reason we gave 4-stars for comfort is the lack of seating in the room and no "unpacking" space. There was one desk type chair, one luggage rack and no drawer space. Open clothes rods were available, but we unpack suitcases for a 4 night stay. Other than that, Motel One was outstanding and we would return.
