Only "deluxe" rooms have air conditioning.

We were charged $400 pound per night. Apparently, only deluxe rooms came with air conditioning. There was also an additional cost to use the swimming pool. I would not recommend this hotel. Check out the Hampton near by if you are looking for a hotel walk to the airport. Both are about a 5 minute walk to the airport. If you don't need the shuttle, just walk instead of waiting.

Worst Hilton in the world

What a terrible hotel which has a 4.5 star rating. Where to start checkin started promising with us being early, and understandably no rooms were available, until the same staff member at 3pm in the afternoon couldn’t remember us, and still had no rooms available. The bed creaked and wasn’t particularly comfortable The pillows had zero support and very uncomfortable Central air meant we couldn’t adjust room temperature to be comfortable The hotel had only pub grub, and haute cousine prices, which we charged to our room, only for the hotel to try to charge our credit card immediately, when that didn’t work they tried various different amounts, and posted 3 notices under our door in 24hours to attend reception to pay! Now I may be wrong but in 35 years travelling the world I have never had a hotel try and charge for room charges until you checkout. The breakfast was overpriced and horrible and seriously the worst breakfast I’ve tasted. Eggs dry and bacon was taken out of the freezer and cooked folded. A cheaper cut of bacon would be a struggle, being extremely fatty, and tasting like a car tyre. The continental breakfast was extremely limited as we the hot breakfast offerings. Oh and also highly overpriced for such a squalid affair.

Very close to the airport

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The housecleaning staff were working hard when I arrived early and was able to check in. The rooms could use some refresh, like carpet and furniture. The hotel was very close to the airport and had a free shuttle. That was very nice.

The free airport shuttle made easy access to the Edinburgh airport. The hotel was clean and lovely. The hall carpeting was a little dated and a musty smell to the hallway. But the room was clean spacious and comfortable.
