We had a fab stay over new year. The room was very clean and serviced daily. David and Alan were outstanding. They organised taxis, set up a lovely real fire for us and went above and beyond.

Lovely clean room, friendly staff, very festive with mincepies and mulled wine available in reception, in the afternoon. Would recommend the dining room to eat in the evening, great service, delicious food and lovely friendly staff. Breakfast was incredibly busy but the quality of food was excellent and service managed well. Would happily return.

Beautiful hotel. Loved the Scottish themed decor and Christmas decorations. Great staff, very friendly and welcoming. Great restaurants and warm cozy fire in the cocktail bar. Loved the history of the castle. And the buffet breakfast was super yummy.

The food was fantastic. I have stayed there on many ocassions with my family and it is great value for money and it's an easy bus ride (30 mins) into the heart of Edinburgh. Stayed over for 2 nights and spent a day in Edinburgh at the Christmas markets. If you are looking for a quiet spot outside the city with a swimming pool , amazing views and some homely luxury , with a Scottish Castle feeling then this is where to stay. Great hotel.
I sat here and read A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens a coiple of days before Christmas.

This is an excellent property to stay at. It is a first class resort. The staff are excellent,resturant superb, and ground beautiful. The only mino down side is that the hotel is large and guest seem to get lost in the maze of hallways.
