Hotels with Free Airport Shuttle in Belize

Our flights out of Belize got delayed because of the weather and we ended up at the Fort George for the night. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone that needs a spot to stay and relax for the night. There was a lot of construction in the immediate vicinity, which suggested they are trying to draw more tourists. It is close to the water taxi, so the area seems more like a jumping-off point rather than a destination. We had a great stay at the hotel, which was very comfortable, newly remodeled, beautifully designed and clean. We ate our meals there and some of the dishes were hit and miss. (Flatbread pizza was great! Risotto was way overcooked.) We will definitely return for a night if needed to catch flights in and out of BZE. About 30 mins or $40 taxi ride to the airport. They have a shuttle that was great and is $15 per person, so a taxi was less for our family of 4.

Older hotel, large room, insufficient number of plugins for today, great breakfast, helpful staff, swimming pool and area needs some attention. Will pick up at airport for a fee. Very prompt service at airport pickup. Very good hotel stay for our family.

The airport mentioned that is close to this hotel is not the main international airport. Check in was smooth, our room was ready at 3 pm. We stayed in the reef area, 2 bedroom with 2 bathroom and full kitchen living and dining room with nice patio close to the reef pool. Steps away from the beach area but you can not really swim on the beach. It’s got a dock and to the left a possible beach area where you can swim but the seaweed was so bad no one was swimming there. The beach area is nice they have plenty of chairs and umbrellas, you can lay out and have a good time but not really swim in the ocean. We spent three nights there. The restaurants are nice but expensive. That 25% tax is not a tip and really adds up. One night we wanted to try the deck restaurant but it was closed for a wedding. We rented a golf cart outside of the hotel because it was half the cost. We got massages down on the beach about 20 mins away from the hotel for 25 dollars, area next to the farm house coffee shop. That place had great coffee and smoothies. We bought beer at the local store for half the price. Be careful buying things most things were expired. We ate at a seafood restaurant in town where you pick out your seafood and they cook it for you, it was really good, but expensive. The lobster was amazing! It was a great trip. The hotel was nice staff was nice. We did not do the all inclusive packages.
