The hotel could be great, but it just isn’t well maintained. Lots of little inconveniences snow ball into this hotel being average. No extra hooks in bathrooms to hang towels or swim suits, no bowels in rooms with kitchen spaces, no dish cleaning tools even though we are given dish soap to wash them. Drain in bathroom was clogged. Sink in kitchen was clogged because the garbage disposal didn’t work so there was rotting food stuck in there. The skybar restaurant on a Friday morning was out of two things on their breakfast menu at 9am, no to go cups and no bags to carry the 4 entree order I placed so bad to balance them plus 4 drinks down to room on my own. No pens in the room, the sound machine in the room volume Knob was broken. It just kept piling up. The location is great, staff at desk was great the whole 3 night stay, rooms were spacious, beds were comfortable.

My wife and I stayed at The Current Hotel in Davenport IA in room 510 Friday the 7th to Sunday the 9th. I just wanted to say that I was not happy with our stay at the Current Hotel. A big part of booking the Current hotel was the fact that you have a bidet in the restrooms as my wife prefers the cleanliness of them. When we got there on Friday it was inoperable and the front desk seemed attentive and they attempted to be helpful. They said they would be sending someone up to fix it at 11:30 on Saturday but maintenance never came up to fix it. Saturday morning when my wife was in the shower the entire restroom flooded and I was unable to shower as I was too busy trying to clean up the water before any damage happened. The shower had drained by the end of day Saturday but when I attempted to shower that night, the shower started to overflow. To sum it up, two of the main amenities were not functioning right and we had to shower at my family's house. I am only messaging so late after the stay as we had to fly back home.

Okay, but for the price look elsewhere

We were celebrating our anniversary and excited to try this hotel, however after our experience we wouldn’t stay there again. The first room we were given was dirty, which the front desk begrudgingly swapped for us. The new room was 60 degrees, but warmed up while we were having dinner at the rooftop bar. Great space! Service was bad despite being wide open. Our toilet had a horrid smell despite appearing clean. Pool was so filthy and had piles of brown grunge in the corners so we didn’t use it. Loud hallways, and middle of the night disturbances. This hotel has potential but needs a major shift in attention to cleanliness, maintenance and service. Wish I had thought to get photos.
