I have traveled all over the world and this is my favorite place. The food is absolutely delightful! I am a chef and restaurant owner and I am completely blown away by the food! I truly joy the entire atmosphere.The walking paths through the grounds are peaceful and gorgeous. The cottages are beautifully decorated and clean. If I could live here, I would. I come here 1 - 2 a year. This is my oasis away from the snowy tundra in Superior, WI. The owner, chefs, staff, and grounds man are all personable and welcoming. I love Houmas Plantation and can't wait to come back!

Everything was beautiful and peaceful. The bed was comfortable and the shower and soaking tub were so nice. The grounds were gorgeous. Breakfast buffet at Dixie cafe was delicious and the view out the huge windows enjoyable. The museum was great. Dinner at the Carriage House was also special. People were friendly and helpful. No crowds, quiet and serene.

The Inn is a great place and we thought it looked lovely on the website -- but it exceeded all our expectations when we actually stayed: beautiful decor, fantastic setting, spotlessly clean and the food on site is great too.
