Our first plantation stay. Stunning property. Beautiful architecture. Amazing staff. Delicious food. The cottages are a bit remote from the main house, but courteous golf carts are always a phone call away.

Perfect location for a few days touring local plantations. Beautiful well kept grounds with so many shaded sitting areas tucked away to relax and enjoy the property. My cottage was roomy, well appointed, comfortable and as a solo female traveler I felt safe. I am so glad I opted to stay here for my 3 nights in this area - it made for the perfect trip. A full breakfast each morning in addition to a great restaurant on property - so convenient for long days of sightseeing. One criticism breakfast cafe staff could be a little more friendly / helpful. Same experience each morning. Outside of that I experienced nothing but excellent service on property.

I have traveled all over the world and this is my favorite place. The food is absolutely delightful! I am a chef and restaurant owner and I am completely blown away by the food! I truly joy the entire atmosphere. The walking paths through the grounds are peaceful and gorgeous. The cottages are beautifully decorated and clean. If I could live here, I would. I come here 1 - 2 a year. This is my oasis away from the snowy tundra in Superior, WI. The owner, chefs, staff, and grounds man are all personable and welcoming. I love Houmas Plantation and can't wait to come back!
