The stately building called De Gouden Kop dates back to 1600 and is located on the beautiful market square of the authentic town, Damme. The property has been converted with great attention to detail into a comfortable vacation home. The vacation home consists of a very large suite with double bed, TV and private bathroom on the first floor. On the second floor is the huge living room with beautiful views over the market square of Damme and the fully equipped kitchen with access to the open terrace. There is also a separate toilet on the second floor. On the second floor there are two bedrooms, a bathroom and a separate toilet. The bedroom for three people is located in the attic.



Take a walk through the historic center of Damme with authentic sights such as the town hall, the village mill and the Haringmarkt. In the world-famous city of Bruges, just 7 km from the vacation home, you will of course find even more culture, stores and entertainment. Enjoy the beach and the sea in the famous seaside resort of Knokke, 12 km away. The vacation home is close to the border with the Netherlands, where you can visit the picturesque fortified town of Sluis.

Little christmas away

The house is spacious and with great entertaining space. Its located right in the main street with various options of restaurants. The communication with agency wasnt great and we were not informed what to do with all the general and recycling rubbish from the house ans after 7 days staying there we were absolutely covered in rubish bags around the kitchen. House also vould do with a deep clean but we managed ourselves. Lovely area to go for walks by the river or spend the day in Brugges.

Disappointing facilities

Poorly equipped and basic amenities missing eg no blinds to bathroom, broken blind to bedroom, on the floor, kitchen tap v wobbly, no bathroom matts, no bin liners, no washing towel, bin smelly on arrival, having to make beds up , never seen that before, some broken furniture eg doors and no wc paper. Suggest access codes more secure too. Generally decor a bit tired.

Hôte accueillant belle maison. Manque quelques équipements carafe, poubelle salle de bain du haut. Précisez dans l’annonce l’appareil pour le café pour ce cas présent cafetière et senseo. Sinon merci pour le café qui etait à disposition. Nous avons cherché les serviettes de toilettes que nous avons fini par trouver dans le sèche linge. Sinon l'implantation de la maison est bien placé pour se rende à Brugges.

Der Zugang erfolgt über einen Code, keine Schlüsselbox. Schlafzimmer könnten sauberer sein, Handtücher mussten wir suchen, waren im Trockner. Schön wäre bei Anreise am Samstag wenn Toilettenpapier und Müllbeutel da wären. Sonst ist das Haus schön, gute Lage und sehr gemütlich

Damme 👍

Das Haus liegt direkt im Zentrum von Damme. Das Haus ist sehr schön eingerichtet und wirklich sehr groß. Alles was man für einen längeren Aufenthalt benötigt ist vorhanden. Die Sauberkeit ist eher nicht so gut. Wollmäuse in den Ecken und von der Spülmaschine nicht ganz sauberes Geschirr wurde einfach eingeräumt und nicht kontrolliert.. Kostenlos parken musst man 5 Gehminuten entfernt auf einen Zentralparkplatz. Dies war für uns kein Problem, sollte aber erwähnt werden.
