There was significant remodeling taking place at the hotel. Poor lighting in the rooms. Bathroom door doesn’t close properly. Our travel mates had no working shower. Lights have a buzzing noise.

The average rating is due to the current reconstruction. The room itself was great (a 5). Check in and courtesy van was fine (4). Due to the check in time, can’t judge the area around the hotel. MAJOR PROBLEM Using the DFW hotel information phone which connected me to the La Quinta operator, who coldly told me that due to me using Expedia (third party reservation) I needed to spell my name, and while the had a BAKHOP but not a BACHOP there was no reservation and he couldn’t be bothered to help and go bother Expedia. Calling the hotel directly, the front desk said yes they had the reservation and would send out the courtesy van to collect us. Unfortunately the mix up and terrible person at DFW la Quinta call centre costed me an additional $15 due to roaming charges

They can't really help the area they are in because it is near an airport. But it would be nice if there were some close by restaurants or stores within walking distance for travelers without a car.

Good stay despite renovation
The hotel is under major renovation. It was pretty shocking. Walked into the lobby and there were painters tarps everywhere and the smell of paint was strong. Was not expecting that, but after checking in with a friendly receptionist and then into our room, everything was fine. Our room was clean and we slept well. No complaints.
