Colorado Family Reunion

We had a family reunion in the area, so we booked this house for multiple couples. The first night, the wifi was down across the area. The host was very quick to answer my texts very late at night and figure out what the problem was. It was back up and running in the morning.While booking, the information states 3 queen beds. When we arrived, 2 beds were queen, and 1 was a full size. Not a problem for us, just good to know when booking. Also upon arrival the house was 82 degrees. We were able to get the window units on within the house, but we had to station fans strategically in the hallway to have air flow back to the bedrooms, but it was still warm in the bedrooms upstairs.The backyard is not well kept as the grass was over a foot tall. We didn't go in the back yard so it wasn't an issue for us, but good to know if you are planning to bring kids.Cleanliness was okay at first glance. As we made ourselves at home, we found a plastic, KFC disposable cup in the cupboard as well as a handmixer with the cord in the dishwasher. Also, while readjusting the sheets in one of the bedrooms, we found a plastic bag that had be tied shut under the mattress.

False advertisement don’t waste your money

Outside not kept up at all, fence falling down, yard not maintained. It says 3 queen beds. However the only queen bed is in the master, the others are full size making it very uncomfortable for two mid size adults. Rules state no food or drink outside of kitchen dining area, however there is only seating for 3 people and it’s advertised for 6. Windows were open when we got there so it was very hot inside and there is only one small window a/c for a 2 story house. Nowhere to sit in backyard. Owner makes you buy damage insurance so she can file false claims against you. Due to lack of space for us to eat, we ate out all the time yet she filed a claim stating we stole silverware. We used 2 spoons which we washed and put away. Repair man showed up one morning and we didn’t even know anyone was coming. She never acknowledged that. We couldn’t get the WiFi login info until later in the evening after requesting it. Owner was good at communicating until 2 days prior to our arrival when she stopped communicating. I had to call VRBO to get her phone number and then she ignores all calls. I had to leave voicemails and text to get a response via text. She would not speak to us at all. I have tried to reach out to her multiple times regarding her filing a false insurance claim asking for an explanation yet she won’t respond. I also had to search for towels as they were hidden away. I’ve used VRBO many times in the past and have never had an issue.

Weekend visit

We stayed during 1-4 June 2023. Initial reservation communication and payment went well, with no issues. The day of check in was a little hectic but we completely understood about the cleaning crew and the host worked with us. The one bed was super squeaky and no information on how to connect to the wifi. House was super nice and host was gracious!
