Fall is the valley's best-kept secret. Crush runs through September and October, the vineyards go gold against the Blue Mountains, and the tasting rooms that were three deep in August have room at the bar again.

This is a quiet, private ground-floor suite for two — the whole space to yourselves, your own entrance, and nobody to work around. Under 10 minutes from downtown Walla Walla, a five-minute walk from Walla Walla University, and directly across from Lions Park.

THE SUITE — SLEEPS 2

- King bedroom with a plush hybrid mattress. Guests write about this bed more than anything else here.
- Full bathroom, stocked with towels and essentials
- Open living room with a reclining leather sofa, smart TV, and a sitting bar with charging stations
- Private entrance, single level once you are inside, and a step-free approach from the front sidewalk if stairs are a problem

A REAL KITCHEN, AND YOUR OWN LAUNDRY

- Full-sized refrigerator, oven and stove, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, kettle, blender and cooking basics. Not a kitchenette.
- Washer and dryer inside your suite, with detergent provided. Rare in a one-bedroom here, and the reason people stay two and three weeks during crush season.
- Coffee bar with pods, cocoa and tea, plus a dedicated desk if you are working while you are here.

FALL, HANDLED

- Soft blankets, extra pillows, and a space heater in the bedroom closet. This is a garden-level suite, so it runs cool once the weather turns, and the heater is there for exactly that. Please read "Heating and Cooling" below before you book.

WHERE YOU ARE

- Under 10 minutes to downtown Walla Walla: Main Street tasting rooms, restaurants, and the farmers market that runs through October
- Walla Walla University is a five-minute walk. Whitman College is 10 minutes by car.
- Lions Park is directly across the street. A $1.4M rebuild finished in 2025 added an inclusive playground, ball fields, a fishing dock, picnic shelter and a walking path, plus a small creek and duck pond.
- Walla Walla Regional Airport (ALW) is 15 minutes

WHAT YOU HAVE ACCESS TO

The entire suite is yours: bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, living room and laundry, with your own private entrance. You never pass through anyone else's space. The courtyard and Adirondack chairs outside your door are yours to use.

Being straight with you about the building: this is a three-unit house. There is one other suite on this level and a larger suite upstairs, both rented separately and both locked off from you. You may pass someone on the back patio walking to their own parking, and the walls between units are thin enough that you may hear each other. That is why we ask everyone to honor quiet hours. If you would like to know whether the other units are occupied during your stay, just ask us and we will tell you.

GETTING AROUND

You will want a car. The wineries are spread across six districts and the farther ones are a 20-minute drive. There are two dedicated parking spots in the back cul-de-sac with stairs up to your door, plus street parking out front. Park out front and take the gently sloping sidewalk along the right side of the house if you would rather not do stairs.

Walla Walla Regional Airport (ALW) is about 15 minutes. Uber runs here but is not always reliable late at night, so plan tasting days with a designated driver or book a wine tour van.

ARRIVAL

Keyless self check-in. Your code comes before you arrive, so there is no key to collect. We are local, a few minutes away, and we answer fast the whole time you are here.

The fall dates that go first: WWU move-in weekends in September, Whitman and WWU family weekends in late October, Fall Release Weekend November 5 to 7, and Thanksgiving. Reserve early.

Heating and Cooling: This is a garden-level suite on a central heating and cooling system shared with the units above, so we manage the thermostat rather than leaving it on the wall. It keeps the temperature fair across the house. Being upfront with you: the lower level runs cooler than the upstairs, especially once the weather turns. There is a space heater in the bedroom closet and you are welcome to use it. Message or text us any time, day or night, and we will adjust the thermostat right away. We would much rather hear from you on night one than read about it afterward.

Arriving After Dark: Check-in is 4:00 PM, and from late October the sun is down not long after. Your check-in instructions include lit photos of the entrance and the keypad. If anything is unclear when you pull up, call us — we are minutes away.

The Street: The house faces a main road through College Place, between Home Depot and Walmart, which makes it easy to find and easy to reach. There is traffic noise audible from the bedroom. The courtyard side is quiet.

The Other Suites: There are two other units in this building, rented separately and locked off from your space. If they are occupied you may hear those guests, and they may hear you, which is why quiet hours are 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Ask us any time whether the other units are booked during your stay.

Sleeping for 2: One king bedroom. This is a suite for two — there is no sofa bed and no second bedroom. If you need room for more, ask us about the other suites in this building.

Safety: A fire extinguisher, first aid kit, smoke alarm and carbon monoxide detector are in the suite.

Cancellation Policy: We follow the cancellation policy in place at the time you booked, as shown in your confirmation. If there is any chance you may need to cancel, we recommend purchasing travel insurance at checkout. Refunds are not provided outside the booked policy for weather, illness, or travel disruptions.

No Pets and No Smoking: There is a strict no-pets and no-smoking policy for the benefit of all guests with allergies. Any known abuse of this policy may result in a substantial fine.

Outdoor Cameras: Security cameras are at both entrances to the house for your safety. They may be recording video and audio. There are no indoor cameras.

Damage Protection: A damage waiver is included with your cleaning fee and covers any accidental damage during your stay. Intentional damage, and any damage requiring additional deep cleaning, will be your responsibility. Please let us know of any damage so we can remedy it for our next guests.

Rental Agreement: A link to our rental agreement will be sent to you to sign before you check in. You may also be asked to verify your identity. We use a third party for this through two-factor authentication, and we do not store any of your personal data.

TV and Streaming: The Roku TV allows you to add your own apps. Enter your departure date and the apps will be deleted when you depart.
