Beautiful hotel but filled with non hotel guests.

The hotel was beautiful, on the marina. Our room was nicely decorated and everything was clean - view was amazing. The pool, sauna, etc. was overflowing with people who had "memberships" and not guests of the hotel. I would have appreciated more space for paying guests. Upon checking out, the front desk staff did not even ask if our stay was pleasant. Some warmth and pleasantness would have been nice.

The perfect getaway

This is a top-knotch resort beautifully situated on the Long Island Sound. A luxury accommodation that is as quaint as it is comfortable. Excellent service all around. A superb restaurant on site.

Rooms were large and spacious but quite dark. The Choo Choo lounge and the outside bar were very pleasant. The onsite dining restaurant was disappointing, food was below expectations and did not live up to their rating. Staff were all very pleasant. Parking was a difficult but it is high season.

The room was very nice and the staff were all very helpful. The only small negatives were the TV was mounted at an angle and the bathroom countertops were very low

It really isn't a resort, it's a marina. If you have a busy, it must be great. They have an indoor and out door pool, but no beach. The rooms across the street, which are fabulous! Ocean view and balconies. It's a pleasurable stay, just no bands, no social activities I expect at a resort.

Loved our weekend at the Saybrook Resort. The hotel is very clean and well Maintained. Love the restaurant and sitting on the harbor. Room sizes are very generous as well ! Sweet shops and restaurants in town.

Summer fun

I always enjoy stopping at the Saybrook Inn and Spa. The front desk gentleman were very nice and welcomed me back. We arrived almost at restaurant closing time and our server was accommodating and kind. The hotel is pet friendly and the breakfast wait staff were great. Look forward to our next visit.
