Arrived for check in at 4:00 PM, waited in line for 30 minutes. Once we got to front of one they said our room wasn’t ready, they said to wait 45 minutes and get back in line. We waited in lobby. We missed the free drinks do to not being checked in yet. We ended up not being able to check in and take a shower before dinner and had to wear our clothes from game to dinner. Hotel never reached out to tell us room was ready. Was finally able to check in around 11:30 PM. As confirmed by the check in staff at that time this was completely unacceptable. In my 43 years on earth I’ve never had a check in go any worse. Rooms were clean and breakfast was great!

Staff was always courteous and even when issues were brought to their attention, I felt they were doing the best they could. They were full. This isn’t the old Embassy Suites. In need of daily maintenance. Room did not get below 75. Toilet seat very loose and phone didn’t work. Ran out of coffee at breakfast but wasn’t replenished. Best thing about hotel is location. Will stay again.

The staff was amazing! I'd specifically like to recognize Brian at the front desk and the gentleman who made the omelets. Every request that I made was met with a smile and great customer service. The property can use some updates. Our carpet was ragged, and the bathroom needed caulk work. Overall, I'd stay here again and ask for an updated room.

Not a great experience

Check in took 1 hour with a line wrapped around the lobby. Room had a musty smell and felt very muggy. Thermostat was set on 55 when we arrived and never got below 75. Overall would not recommend to anyone.

The decor is a bit dated, and the carpets smell of cleaner, but this hotel is conveniently located if you are in town for a Bengals or Reds game. A short walk over the pedestrian bridge gives you access to two cities with scores of bars and restaurants. The full breakfasts and separate living room areas are a nice touch as well.

A mixed experience. The location and river views were fantastic. Being able to walk to the ballpark was great. The hotel was overwhelmed the 3 nights of our stay. Two weddings and a music festival plus Reds games overwhelmed the staff and we got no housekeeping services. Even the afternoon reception was a 20 minute wait for the complimentary drink. The valet service, however, was efficient and super friendly. Hoping it was just a off weekend!

The room we were given had never been cleaned from prior guests, beer bottles, dirty sheets in piles. There were no luggage carts or any assistance to get bags from entrance up 4 levels to lobby and then to room (another 8 floors). Once alternate room assigned, it smelled, stains everywhere. There was a wedding or party going on with loud music heard on the 3rd floor to late in the night.

My recent stay

The staff I interacted with was very nice and helpful. One of the associates I spoke with even offered Hilton honors points for my inconvenience and that was sincerely appreciated. That being said, my room was clearly not cleaned prior to my stay. I saw red residue that looked like food or vomit on my ice bucket lid, there were insects in my room, there was a strong musty odor in the air instead of cleaning products, the shower water was cold, hair and oil on the seat in my room, and it was difficult finding an ice machine that wasn’t out of order. Overall, I expect more from the Hilton brand and I was extremely disappointed with my stay. I ended up just checking out and going home Sunday night instead of staying until Monday because I was so uncomfortable.
