I enjoyed my stay here. I got the breakfast option and it was a well portioned breakfast. I think more vegetarian and vegan options are definitely needed. The check-in staff was super kind and helped me a lot as it was my first time there right after the plane. I think it would be great to at least offer some condition or hair care products instead of a 3 - in one (face, body and hair??? it was meant for hands too, so i guess a 4in1??). I think it was great for the environment to have no single use products, but a hand pump station for hand soap would be better than the 3-in 1 they had. As a traveler, I didn't want to spend 15$ on conditioner/ shampoo only to have to throw away for my next flight so it would've been nice to have those items in the hotel. Most hotels i've been in at least offer the two in one for hair care as a pump bottle.

The room was basic and somewhat compact for three adults. No where to sit and relax. All very tight. The staff were very pleasant. The shower head being fixed is old style and should be removable. I note there was no small bottles of shampoo. In our bathroom I noted brown splash mark on wall next to toilet and while I asked a cleaner if the marks could be cleaned off they were still there when we left.

I bought breakfast in my package and when I got to the property they said I wasn’t entitled to the breakfast I had paid for. This changed the whole vibe of my trip and add stress that didn’t need to be there. The facilities were okay. The hotel is in a great location.

This hotel was well situated with the Riverside Markets area within easy walking distance. A convenience store and a very good souvenir shop (for gifts) were located next door. Parking was not available but we parked across the road in a parking station for NZ$12 overnight. There were 2 queen beds in the room which were comfortable. We did not eat breakfast at the hotel and instead opted for eating at the markets at a wonderful fresh food place on the ground floor.

Ashanti was great and all the front desk staff were awesome. The nearby parking garage was a good value and not too far. Breakfast was great! Rooms were nice and comfy. Bathrooms were small but everything worked fine. We stayed here a few times and would stay again.
