I like the location of the hotel - but I hated the fact that the rooms were not all that clean. A roach came out of my bed and when I asked for service I was told that I couldn’t get service. So I probably will not stay here again.

The stay was just ok, for the money. Was told we had pay extra for airport and other things that was not mentioned during booking the reservation. The room did not have a working phone, the t.v. kept going and off of service, the front desk clerk said she would tell the maintenance man the next day, but still nothing. Breakfast looked like it would have been good, but did not get to eat due to them not having enough prepared for everyone.

The room was terribly dirty and obviously never got cleaned out cause there was clothes everywhere. We left and went to a different hotel. The whole place is quite run down, and could really use an update.

The staff at the Wingate were amazing. They went above & beyond to make sure that our stay was enjoyable. The hotel is a little older, but it was clean and very conveniently located to the sights in Charleston.
