Room was clean but smelled like smoke due to previous parties leaving the flue open. Bathroom is dated. Cabinet doors and windows in the room are worn and broken. Restaurant was great. Breakfast was the best part of the stay with an organic eggs, local bacon etc. The grounds and gardens are beautiful. Worth visiting for them alone.

The serene and peaceful environment, cordial professional staff, efficient customer service, and quality breakfast options. The only suggestion I would make is the need for grab bars in the shower for safety precautions. Overall, a wonderful experience and I look forward to booking another stay in the near future.

80s historical architecture hotel with nice amenities. The breakfast was a particular highlight, along with the happy hour and night cap offerings. The included admission to historic Middleton Place leaves plenty to explore in your free time. Quiet and relaxing stay.

Loved the setting. Beautifully situated on the river. The rooms were set within the wooded area with windows on three sides so that it felt like you were immersed in the area. The eating and lodge for activities were close by so had a pleasant walk for breakfast or to happy hour. Eco-friendly was undermined by too many individually packaged items like mini creamers, jams, butter instead of using butter plate, 1/2 & 1/2 pitcher and jars of jam. Would have preferred a normal bath as the size made it difficult to hold the heat in. Great hot water system though shower pressure left something to be desired.

The Inn was great! The property is beautiful and well maintained. The Lodge was a great place to grab some drinks and snacks. I would've rated it better overall if we had actually received our breakfast that we ordered the night before. We ordered it for our room to be delivered at 9:30. By the time it had reached 10 we already needed to leave so we just went without.

Beautiful setting. We were the only ones we saw walking around the property in the early evenings. The Happy Hour self-serve charcuterie and cash bar on the property were very convenient and we enjoyed sitting along the river in the provided seating both njghts. We dined at the property restaurant last night and had a delicious meal. The Lake House breakfast was very substantial each morning, with lots of options. The rooms were quiet, clean, and had all of the amenities. We appreciated the availability of umbrellas and flashlights so we could walk the trails to our late dinner reservation. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and all staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend this place and hope to return for another visit. Unfortunately, we were unable to partake in any formal site tours because we had booked off-site Fossil digging excursions both days which kept us out past the last tour. We did enjoy doing self-guided tours of the beautiful grounds.
