Summary:

Live like a local in this show-stopping three queen bedroom, two bath apartment located in downtown Charleston. Housed in an historic home dating to 1851, every detail has been fully renovated to feature antique heart pine flooring, tongue and groove walls, and European hardware dating to the original period of the home. This suite has a fully custom kitchen and beautiful living space.



The Space:

The floorplan is ideal for socializing with an open concept living room and eat-in kitchen on one end and the three bedrooms on the opposite end. The living room and kitchen look out on Cannon street, one of Cannonborough-Elliotborough neighborhood’s most vibrant streets, home to many popular stores and restaurants all just steps from the suite.

Off of this living room/kitchen area is a classic Charleston porch, offering guests an outdoor area to visit and people watch.

All three bedrooms boast comfortable queen beds with plush bedding. Two of the three bedrooms feature full ensuite bathrooms.



*Please note this rental is located on the second floor and only accessible by (spiral staircase!) Absolutely no parties or late-night noise will be tolerated.

This suite has access to the large front porch with exclusive, dedicated seating, a private rear porch, and patio with Green Egg charcoal grill, complementary charcoal. Complimentary parking for one vehicle.



The Neighborhood:

The home is set in Cannonborough, an inviting downtown area blending historic and stylish residential homes. It’s steps away from the College of Charleston, as well as Upper King Street’s eateries and shopping.



Getting Around:

There is plenty to see and places to visit within walking distance. Uber and Lyft are readily available.



Other Things to Note:

We are three blocks from King Street, right in the middle of all Charlestonian activity. Incredible restaurants such as Southbound, Verns, 167 Raw, Malagon, Indaco, and Azur. Great places to have drinks are even closer at places like Felix, Stars, Babas, and Prohibition. There are also great niche restaurants closer than King Street, such as coastal Italian at Allora or creative Indian at Rivayat. If you want the full Charleston experience, a walking tour or carriage tour is a must. If you have sea legs and are aiming for total immersion into history, the steamboat runs to Ft. Sumter daily and you can land your two feet exactly where the Civil War started.

Amazing!

Better than expected, pictures do not do it justice. Bedrooms are large, with comfy beds. Cute bathrooms with era type decor. Kitchen well stocked and super cute! The Southern porch is the real winner! Large, comfy and lamp lit for a cozy ambiance. The one note is the narrow spiral staircase to enter the residence. For 3 older women with suitcases, it took a team effort. Loved it!

Relaxing close to everything

The Charlestonian is in a great location within walking distance of some great dining and shops. The apartment has a nice vibe with interesting and unique design choices. The beds were very comfortable with high end linens. Both the front veranda and back porch are very comfortable with teak furniture and accessories. The kitchen is stocked with all the basic cookware and utensils to prepare meals if you choose to stay in and cook. Also, having a washer and dryer is a huge plus. We had a great week at Charleston. I would recommend this apartment to anyone wanting to experience downtown Charleston.

Great spot near king street. Good bagel spot nearby. Owners provided great coffee and tea as well as board games. We enjoyed breakfast on the porch. Met one of the owners who was delightful and let us tour the other upstairs unit. Clearly they have put a lot of sweat equity in this place!

This place is amazing! Our host was very responsive and made check in easy and efficient. The property itself was super comfortable with every amenity you need! We were in town for a wedding, this was the perfect place to stay for access to great restaurants, coffee shops, and just touring Charleston. Loved the historic features of the beautiful home! Wonderful property - perfect for a long weekend

We flew down to Charleston for a girls weekend. This VRBO caught our attention right from the start because of the gorgeous pictures. The location did not disappoint! It was a lovely property in a great location - close enough to everything we wanted to see, but in a residential area that was quiet and safe. We had a blast. We definitely felt pampered. Fantastic location + historic property = amazing girls weekend!

The property was even better than the photos! Clean, spacious, welcoming, and warm. The deck/piazzas were amazing for lounging in the morning. Each bedroom has its own flair and we loved learning about the history of the property. Steps away from great shops and food. Cannot recommend this place and location enough!
