Private Coastal Cottage on James Island

Newly renovated, well-designed cottage located on desirable James Island.
Open floor plan nestled under live oaks on a half acre property.
It's tranquil and quiet and provides the perfect location for walking to tons of restaurants, movie theatre, public golf course, music venue, boat landings and one mile from the county park that offers walking/biking trails, playgrounds, splash pads, climbing and the only dog park on the island.

Just minutes to downtown Charleston & Folly Beach!
The space
Live oaks provide a canopy over the cottage and many windows make for a beautifully, well lit spot with tons of natural light. Open floor plan offers a big bay window with bistro seating, a kitchen with pantry, coffee pot, toaster oven, and wall oven, and the living room is spacious with a couch, bookshelf, coffee table, and large TV. The bedroom is just off the living room where you'll find a the separate laundry room, queen bed with two nightstands, dresser, closet and a bathroom that features an alcove.
Guest access
Coastal Cottage is situated in the back of the half acre lot. In the front of our property is our sister Airbnb: Live Oak Retreat. It features a 3/2.5 one story home. Guests of Coastal Cottage park directly in front of their home. Guests at Live Oak Retreat park on the left side of the driveaway and along the side of the deck and carport. The right side of the driveway needs to remain open so Coastal Cottage guests can access their home. We have never had any issues with parking but want to make sure all guests are aware of how to share the parking space.

If you’re ever in Charleston and you need a great little spot for 2 people at a very affordable price this place is perfect. It was in walking distance to everything we needed. The place was clean, kitchen had everything and a very comfy bed also. Will definitely look into this place again if or when we go back to Charleston.

We enjoyed our stay last summer at the Cottage and decided to stay here again this year. It was very clean upon arrival and had a wonderful scent in the air that lasted all week. Comfortable bed, clean and good quality bed linens. Lots of pillow options depending on your comfort level. Couch is very comfortable. Kitchen is well stocked with essentials. It is the perfect size for what we need and a wonderful, quiet neighborhood. We plan to return again next year!

This was exactly as it was listed, finding it was a little difficult since it sits behind anonther house. Location was excellent for what all we had planned, short drives to it all! House was very clean, well taken care of and welcoming, perfect for my husband and i! Hosts were amazing at communicating and quick to repsonse to any questions that werent even related to their property! We will definitely come back to this charming cottage!

Perfectly comfortable stay

Close to Charleston and Folly beach! We were busy all day going to Daniel Island for the tennis tournament and enjoying downtown Charleston and Folly Beach, and it was nice to come back to a private, safe, quiet, comfortable place and relax for the evening! We enjoyed the close restaurants in the area, especially Azul! The trees and flowering plants were beautiful! It was a great place to enjoy the area! We will be back! Thank you!
