Inside, you’ll find warm knotty pine throughout, giving it a classic camp feel, with modern updates for a comfortable stay. The spacious living room is bathed in natural light thanks to two walls of windows, offering peaceful views of the surrounding trees with the lake peeking through. It’s quiet, calm, and a great place to slow down—perfect for nature lovers, bird watchers, or anyone looking to unplug for a bit.

Outside, there’s a large deck where you can enjoy meals, read in the hammock, or simply take in the peaceful setting. A canoe and kayak are available for exploring the lake in warmer months, and the wooded surroundings make it an especially relaxing place to spend time outdoors. In the winter, the cottage makes a cozy home base for ice fishing on Thompson Lake or cross-country skiing. If downhill skiing is on your list, Pleasant Mountain and Sunday River are both within easy driving distance for a day trip.

A beautiful house on the lake .

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Wish I were there now but my week is over . The house was beautiful . We were sad to leave . If I could improve anything , it would be , an easier way to put the boats in the water . Although it had an A/C , it was downstairs which wouldn't help much in the master bedroom (if we needed it ). It should be moved up stairs . The other issue was the missing shade and short shade next to the master bedroom bed . It's hard to sleep late there . A note to remind guests to keep the hummingbird feeder full would be nice . By the way . It's not a deal breaker but the water flow in the shower is poor . I would definitely go back again . This was the first time I was told to clean the cabin before we left so we left no tip .
