I was a solo-female traveler staying here and I had a great stay. I felt safe in and around the hotel and the staff were friendly and helpful. I don't speak much Spanish but a good amount of the staff spoke English which was a bonus! I got an economy room which was perfect for one person. The room was small, but clean. They provide water, gatorade, and beer in the mini fridge, which I appreciated. The free breakfast was nice and filling! The location is perfect-- super very lively, easy to find something fun to do or good to eat. I had a couple of things delivered to the hotel and the staff brought them up to my room which was so kind. The hotel is super cute, but it is not necessarily a luxury spot - just to be transparent; however, this was perfect for just a few days!

Very pleasant stay. Like many properties in Getsemaní, this was formerly a large family home. Our standard room was very small but adequate. There are options for larger rooms. There are also several areas to sit and relax outside the room. Staff are attentive and friendly. Great location to explore Getsemani neighbourhood and walkable to Centennial Park, port, and walled city. Would stay here again.

The room was great and perfect for my dad and I ! Thank you so much for accommodating us and making us feel at home. The breakfast was delicious and staff very nice and courteous. I asked for towels and as we got to the door the lady was already there as we were just coming in from a tour. I definitely 💯 recommend this hotel. Beautiful historic hotel located within walking distance of the main streets (food, music etc etc)…Great location ! Now, the pool is located on rooftop and it was beautiful up there. Relaxing and totally recommended for families 🙏 I carillas had the pool all by myself yesterday and was able to see the sunset 🌅 absolutely stunning.

This hotel was a gem. It was easy to walk to el centro and other attractions. The staff was very nice and professional. The room was cozy, bed was good for sleep. And the breakfast was delicious and different every morning. The room just needed a standing mirror. Todo excelente!

Overall great stay. Location is wonderful and the building is a super cool older colonial era house. Staff was very helpful and the building felt very secure. I arrived early and departed late, but was able to store my luggage in their locked storage closet. There was one odd moment though where the maid called me back into my room to give me an in-person scolding for having some spotting during the night. So light that I didn't even notice it until she pointed out the evidence on the sheet. I get that it's annoying but if you are in the hotel business, I imagine you encounter evidence of menstruation here and there. This was so mild the reaction seemed overblown. But, this was one minor issue during an otherwise very pleasant stay.

This is a great option if you want to be close to everything. It is literally a 2 min walk to Getsemani, and maybe a 10 min walk to the historic Centre. It doesn’t feel like a walk to the historic Centre because there are bars, restaurants, stores, palenqueras, etc along the way. - if you want a relaxing and quiet stay, this may not be the hotel for you. Maybe stay in bocagrande. Also if you want a “regular” hotel, stay in Boca grande - if you want to stay at a location that’s close to everything, then this is the hotel for you - much like many of the buildings in Cartagena, it is a refurbished colonial (?) type dwelling so they lean heavily towards that aesthetic - wooden ceilings, brass type bathroom fixtures, concrete flooring. - the breakfast is the same everyday but I didn’t mind it because it was worth it to start the day - check in and out was smooth. They adhere to 3pm check in so keep that in mind. - there’s a Juan Valdez cafe attached to the building - if you’re afraid of lizards - this definitely isn’t the hotel for you. I’m deathly afraid of them and had to ask the front desk to remove 2 that I saw in my room. The front desk staff were understanding and helpful. But be mindful that these creatures are apart of Cartagena’s historical identity, apparently. - I stayed in the superior room and it was spacious with a “living room” and 2 bathrooms/showers. The bathroom area was a bit small but I didn’t mind it. A great stay!
