Although I would have liked to give this properly the highest rating for its cleanliness, comfortable beds, hot water and nice showers, good breakfast option, and the attentiveness of most of their staff, my family and I had an unfortunate experience caused by an employee of the hotel. An employee led us to believe that she managed the hotel’s tour bookings for guests. We booked the hotel, and she continued to lie to us even after check in. We paid her a 50% deposit for two tours. When we caught on that she had no authority from the hotel to sell tours, it was already too late. One of the tours did not go as promised, it started much later and ended earlier than she told us. But worse is that the second tour never even happened. As a result, we wasted a day and a half of our short four day stay in Cartagena. We raised our concern to the front desk and this is when we confirmed the lies. The hotel did assist us in getting back the deposit for the tour we didn’t take, but the bad experience and wasted time could never be reversed. We appreciate that the hotel took action and hope that they ensure no other guests experiences what we did. Unfortunately, we left Cartagena pretty heartbroken and don’t think we will ever go back.

Suite is great choice

The only room I’ve ever stayed in is the suite it’s like a little house spacious big balcony the other rooms I have no idea how people even fit in them. They’re so small you barely have the bed with space to walk around it. It’s incredible food good at the restaurant service is good. I was upset. They charge me nearly $100 for an extra guest to I thought was already registered. That was very disappointing. The hot water gets shut off in the early evening. That’s not nice but all in all they’re pretty friendly crew. It’s a safe place. It’s a clean place. The sweets are great option really great option the other rooms though extremely small wow.

Room was a good size and clean. Pool and patio areas were nice. Breakfast was generous and tasted great. The hotel was located in a great area near many restaurants and steps from the park. It is also walking distance from most tourist attractions.

Nice hotel with good location.

Nice hotel with a good location. Close to the clock tower and walled city but still not in the city. Many restaurants and bars nearby. Breakfast at a place right next door with a simple breakfast menu but still good and friendly staff. Felt safe and the rooms were nice and with good ac.

The property was conveniently situated near the walled city and walkable to restaurants. The other down was the wifi. The first night, the wifi was working well. The rest of the days were off. Aside from that, the property was amazing.

My friends and I really enjoyed our stay here. The hotel is in a great location, about a half a block from the park which had little monkeys and sloths. The neighborhood was very lovely, but we all felt the hotel was nice and quiet and not a lot of noise at night. It was about a 5 minute walk over to old town which we did several times a day. The hotel was clean, breakfast was served in the restaurant next door; there are a few tables and seating in the lobby and a nice roof deck with a small pool. The deck was a great place to lounge at sunset and had a beautiful view of the whole city. The staff were amazing. They called cabs and were so helpful when one of my friend did not feel well, I appreciated their amazing service.

Buyer beware- bait and switch

This was a bait and switch. Do not recommend. The ac did not work. No AC in the common areas. Windowless and moldy. No hot water. No blankets. There was a sign saying it was not possible to flush toilet paper. Bad fluorescent lighting and no natural light.The front desk staff was friendly but the manager would not speak with us. We had three rooms and left after 1 night with headaches and exacerbated asthma. More like a dingy hostel than a hotel.
