If you’ve ever wished you could live in a famous painting, here’s your chance! Doves Rest Four Gables Cabin looks like it came straight from Grant Wood’s American Gothic– you know the picture with the couple (and their pitchfork) standing in front of their farmhouse. We’re charmed by the idea to build such a quintessentially American cabin for your enjoyment. Rooms are large and open, especially the arrangement of the kitchen, eating, and living areas making the main floor feel much larger. Big porches front and rear make for great group gatherings. Surrounded by a white picket fence keeps the Texas Longhorn Cattle at bay as you enjoy being front and center on a working cattle ranch.

The property was as advertised. Beautifully maintained. The only comment of a negative nature is one we see often, the cooking pans are long past their expiration date. The cooking cutlery is very dull. Minor issues that did not impact the quality of our stay.

Beautiful white house on the prairie

Immaculate home with four, soft king beds and everything a family needs. We loved the quiet, picturesque surroundings and hope to go back soon. Owners/managers are very attentive with great communication. Highly recommend!

60th Birthday Celebration

Great home for a family celebration. Perfect for a family ranging in ages from 2yrs old to 80yrs old. Kitchen facilities were exceptional. We LOVED the view and the overall comfort and convenience. Access to the Park was easy and we had a great time hiking various trails.

Amazing sunrise!

Lovely house set on a ridge. Our family of 4 had more than enough space. So close to the state park we could have morning & afternoon hikes without wasting time driving. Highly recommend!
