Accent Inns is a motel property in Burnaby that is fairly convenient via Uber to shopping, dining. It is definitely a no frills type of accommodation. The staff are friendly though and helpful.
Unfortunately the 2nd day of our stay we saw 2 police cruisers and the lobby front desk dealing with a homeless person. The 3rd day, we could barely sleep because the next room's male guest was so loud for about 4-5 hours from either alcohol or something else.
We booked a King room which had a coffee machine, mini fridge, bar sink separate from the bathroom which had a low bath tub. The bed was comfortable, our TV was big, and there was a nice newish sofa and small desk with a comfortable chair if you needed a working space. The carpets need to be updated soon. The windows are also super thin so you can hear anyone talking outside in the parking lot (our room faced the rear parking lot on the main floor).
Overall, it was $160 a night for a 3-star motel. At the time of booking a King room at a nicer Hyatt Regency downtown was about $180, but we needed to be in Burnaby and the Airbnb options were not ideal.
We would recommend this if you are on a budget, and just need a clean place to rest. If you want a hotel experience with a gym, proper coffee station in your room, those little hotel toiletries and soaps then this is not the place to book.
