Issue with wet rug in the room, due to HVAC issues. We complained and got some attitude from the front desk. I understand that the hotel was busy and fully booked, but the lack of respect I got as a customer paying almost $2,000 for 3 nights was insulting.

This was quite expensive but love the proximity to the lake & Church Street. Coffee stations in the hall are somewhat convenient (it can be a bit of a stroll) but often without cups). The room itself was nice with a huge tv (for late night viewing) and very comfortable beds and pillows. The lighting in the bathroom is very dim, & unfortunately our shower curtain stunk like mildew. The bar and outdoor seating area are both lovely. Just wish it wasn’t so expensive. We had a $900+ bill for 2 nights. But we have been back 3 times now & probably will return on our next visit

The location is really good and rooms are pretty good but check in process was a bit annoying. Even though we booked and paid in advance through Expedia for some reason they weren’t able to find my booking until like an hour later so they wasted an hour of my time upon landing before someone checked Expedia and was able to check us in. Rooms need more soundproofing as I can hear everything outside and rooms next to us. Apart from that was not bad

The hotel was amazing and gorgeous and the staff were excellent and very attentive. It was a perfect location when we walked from the train station! The only two negative aspects were 1) we booked a lake view room but the summer foliage was blocking most of the view apart from the far corner of the window and 2) the road between the hotel and the main shop street didn’t feel that safe with some homeless people following and asking for handouts and drugs.

The staff at Champlain was amazing! My sister and I have mobility issues so travel can be a challenge. The staff brought ice to our room, made sure we didnt struggle with our luggage or any packages we brought back to the hotel. The valet staff was friendly and very helpful

I paid a lot of money per night for a cracker box sized room (with no view). Definitely not worth what I paid for it. One main elevator was inoperative after the first day, even though we had 200 people staying there for a meeting. The dining room menu was limited, only ate there once and then ate elsewhere. The food they furnished for our meetings was the poorest in my decades attending these meetings. I would not recommend anyone stay here or schedule a meeting here.

The location is great. The building is an dated structure but well kept on the inside. It’s clean overall but I’m surprised a hotel at this caliber doesn’t have a hair dryer or toiletries in the room. My biggest complaint would be the hot tub. The water wasn’t very warm and the jets didn’t work.

When I stayed there was only one working elevator for the entire property. We were told to use the service elevator. Also, my 4 pm check in was delayed and I had to sit outside for an hour as I waited for the room to be cleaned.
