The elevator nearest the rear parking lot was not working. It was required to walk back to the reception area to use that elevator. The room was clean and I thought a good size. The front door does not self close fully. The door will still be open enough so it doesn’t not lock. No key required to open the door. When using the shower I had a lot of water leak onto the floor. The shower screen on the bathtub is on hinges. Nice but if it’s not exactly in the right spot, water on the floor. This was probably me.

At the time hotel had only one elevator working, other elevator was playing up as well and we had to wait 30 mins for it to get to our floor(2nd)... Lots of hotel guests were using fire escape stairs to go.im between floors during this time, we had to leave again and waited for elevator and decided to.use stairs as wait was unreal. Staff had put towels in the fire doors to keep.them.open and the main fire door entry to the hotel proped open with a bag of cement. Meaning anyone can access the hotel without a swipecard. The fire alarm went off at 12ish and evacuated... this was a nightmare with stairs.there was no staff to be seen or directing and waited out front in the cold for an hour until fire fighters said could go in as false alarm, not the first they have had this week. Going back.in a staff member was suddenly around. Room was ok, comfy bed when we could get to sleep.in it. They have lights shining onto the hotel all night so the room has these coloured lights in the room all night... Avoid this place, its gone downhill and run by staff who dont care about their customers. Poor maintenance and shortcuts to keep the place open, the hotel if it did have a fire would be a nightmare to evacuate. No explanation, no sorry when checking out. I asked if management where doing anything and got a no, but thanks for staying with them. Never again

Proper mugs for tea instead of the tiny cups and our room didn’t have spoons and only 1 toilet roll. I had to go to front counter to get more. Our room was in front of light that is outside on main road which meant you could see the coloured lights change all night from around the edges of the curtain. Suggestion for that light to be switched off around 10pm, or those rooms are much cheaper.

We are tourists and have been travelling all over WA. Staying in multiple hotels. All have requested holiday deposits. Best Western required AUD $200 for 1night stay. On check out they said it’s down to our bank to give us the deposit back and not them! Absolute nonsense as this hasn’t happened anywhere else. Disgusting behaviour from a global corporate hotel chain. It’s unlikely I will get this back until I’m back in the UK

Posted Nov 22, 2025 At check-in another customer was complaining about the aircon not working and that the staff were not truthful about it, I asked whether it worked in my room prior to checking in and was assured it was, it wasn't! Unbearably hot night with work the next morning! I contacted Expedia and was told to check out and find other accommodation and they would organise a refund, I did, only to be told 2 days later that there would be no refund! I would like to be contacted regarding this!

Room layout & size was great. But...No wine glasses - charge of $20 for 2 glasses. Internet was down. Cutlery was 1 knife and fork, no teaspoons. Fridge needs replacing - handle broken, freezer door came off every time you opened it. Noticeable time delay before bathroom light came on; longer if a long time between use. We were offered two complimentary coffees for no internet. Hmmm!

Clean & comfortable room. Reception & housekeeping staff helpful. Swim pool was closed some of time during our stay. Also Elevator/Lift stopped working at our end of Hotel which was a bit inconvenient.
