A last minute decision to include a stop over in our trip brought us to the Seymour Arms. We received a warm welcome from the staff when we checked in and were shown to our room. The room was tastefully decorated, spacious, warm and had a great ensuite bathroom. Tea, coffee, biscuits were provided along with complementary bath robes provided - a very nice touch.
We'd checked the menu before hand and booked a table ahead of arriving. We were slightly disappointed to find that only a christmas menu was available, rather thamn the menu we'd seen on the net. But the disappointmeny was short lived when we saw what was on the menu and when the food arrived we were very happy. One of the best meals we've had in a long time .
The Seymour Arms has been added to our list of places that we'd certainly visit again if we were in the area - either for a stop over or just a fine meal. 5 stars from us
The property advertised bar and Restaurant facilities, which where closed due to refurbishment. We were not informed about this. When we tried to cancel because this wasn't what we wanted we were going to be charged £99 cancellation fee.
