Our stay at the Clayton Hotel was extremely pleasant. The staff at reception kindly checked us in an hour before the actual check-in time, and we also received a discount on parking from the hotel. Our room was extremely clean and comfortable, we couldn't ask for more. Thank you Clayton Hotel!

Good, not great!

Happy with the stay, but the hotel is showing some wear! Comfortable rooms, nice bathrooms, working amenities and nice staff. We did avoid the breakfast, as I’d read some reviews to say it’s not worth it, especially with so many eateries to choose from in Bristol. It looked ok, from what I saw. The main complaint is the size of the bed! It must have been a double, and we are not used to being so snug, no room to move! I’ve never been in a double bed in a hotel before, and it was a real shock, especially because we had another random single bed in the room too! Overall, good stay, but some niggles, definitely not a true 4* - needs a lick of paint and a bit of refreshing!

Located in the heart of the old town, great location. Room is on the small side, but new and modern. However, coffee pods and cotton pads were not refilled during housekeeping (When we called the front desk the hotel staff was kind enough to bring new coffee pods to the room). No complimentary drinking water supplied. Staff were lovely, but overall the amenity side felt like a budget hotel.

Perfect hotel in the centre of bristol

What a fabulous hotel in the centre of Bristol. 20 minute walk from Bristol temple meads train station and 5 minutes to the Hippodrome. We stayed in a double and single room as there were three of us. There was ample space with tea and coffee facilities and a bathroom with shampoo and body wash. The staff were friendly on reception when checking in. The breakfast was both continental and a warm buffet with cereal, yoghurts, pastries and bacon sausages etc. you can even request porridge if you wish. We would definitely recommend staying here to explore the city
