Best view on Straddie
When you have the best view, you dont have the luxury of being able to walk to the beach easily, so if its just relaxation you are after, this ticks the boxes. Upstairs entertainment area is excellent, but only the one bedroom up there. The nails on the deck need punching down again, they got our feet a few times .

Disappointing. Dirty & only 3 bedrooms!
Below average. Would not stay again.
Despite the lovely position and large living spaces of this home, next to no effort has been invested in making guests stays safe, clean, easy or pleasant.
There are not 4 bedrooms - there are 3 + a small, hot, dirty converted tool room off the garage that a rickety bunk bed has been placed into. Advertising this home as a 4 bedroom is extremely misleading advertising. One bedroom is oversized, 2 are small, one isn't even a bedroom.
The roof also leaks. Most noticeably in the main bedroom, right beside the bed. We had rain on our second night - no one slept after the leaks started coming through.
The home was not clean on arrival - not the couches, floors or sheets. There was dust and sand everywhere. There is BLACK MOULD growing in the upstairs bathroom.
There was fine black hair over ALL the white bedsheets. We took them off and shook them out and rewashed the ones we has to use. The bunks in the 4th "bedroom" (tool room in the garage) were not made up with sheets or pillowcases, and the doors provided were stained - with what look liked blood, and goodness knows what else. Dist everywhere in this room too.
There is graffiti on the underside of the top bunk, with sexual innuendo, which made for an interesting chat with our 6 year old before bedtime, when they read it and asked what it meant.
Also missing are the small thoughtful everyday conveniences expected in a holiday rental. There was no washing up detergent, dishwashibg tablets, washjbg power.
Some lights don't work, they are holes in walls and exposed wires. Broken dining chairs -.a hazard - my son sat down, the seat slid off as the bolts were rusted through and they hurt themselves - falling and cutting themselves. Broken chairs should be fixed or removed from the property to avoid accidents like this.
My little girl got a handful of splinters from an inside wooden feature pole - the one just in the main bedroom. Just from walking past and touching the pole as she walked by. These took us a full hour to remove and now we are watching for infections - tgere were about 12 and they went deep. On closer inspection, most of these internal poles have un-sanded and deteriorating areas of splintering wood. These are NOT SAFE for children as they are.
I could go on, but I have already spent enough hours of what was meant to be a relaxing weekend away with 3 generations of family to celebrate a milestone birthday, addressing these issues.
