Not at all dog friendly!

We chose the hotel because the Hotels.com filter said the hotel was dog friendly. The hotel was not dog friendly at all. On arrival I was given an A4 sheet of paper with the rules for the dog, not exactly the warm welcome we were expecting. Unfortunately dogs are allowed on reception and the bedroom but that is all so we couldn’t eat in the bar area as dogs aren’t allowed. Also dogs are not allowed to be left in the room alone so adults can’t eat in the bar either. Also on booking the lovely lady called Jasmine said she would give us a room next to the fire exit which she did (Jasmine is credit to the team), unfortunately the restaurant manager saw me using the fire exit and said that I wasn’t allowed to do that again, another example of not such a dog friendly hotel. Definitely would not stay again as the hotel is in a very undesirable area. The two bar staff we met were friendly as was Jasmine on reception when we checked out.

The reception staff were excellent and went above and beyond. The restaurant was super busy (think there was a coach trip) but the service staff took it in their stride and a credit to the whole stay

We checked in he got charged for He noticed this and asked for a refund at check out and they practically laughed at him and said it wasn’t there problem and refused to refund his money. Blatant theft in my eyes. If this is the way this company acts when they have made an error, I/my group will never stay with this hotel chain again. Shocking!

Great breakfast and bar service, There was a flashing light on fire alarm in the ceiling above the bed, this could do with changing. The moving wrap around advert in the bar and restaurant isn’t nice at all and ruins the environment. The staff were lovely and it wasn’t clear that the parking would be an additional cost.

Great hotel. Heating lets it down.

Lovely modern hotel but the restaurant bar, reception was like a furnace and the bedrooms freezing until about 3 in the morning when they also turned into a furnace!

Great if you can look past cleanlines and noise

Nice looking hotel and the staff is lovely. Unfortunately my room and bathroom were dirty with the clumps of hair everywhere. Shower wall so dirty it felt slimmy... Stayed at the top floor and every time the truck went past the whole hotel was shaking. No soundproofing either from the road or the rooms next door

A lovely hotel, nice big room with comfy bed. This is definitely not a dog friendly hotel, we had hoped to have a drink in the bar after the stressful weekend we'd had but no. Dogs are not allowed in the restaurant which I fully understand but they are not allowed in any area in the bar. So basically you walk through reception and go straight to the room with your dog. This is not dog friendly at all and you even have to pay £15 a night for this. Honestly if you have a dog don't bother going there, there's lots of other hotels around that do allow dogs in the bar.

Bridgwater stay over

We both had a good stay at the hotel. However, a parking charge of £10 on top of the room fee made it an expensive night away. The room was clean, functional & there were tea/coffee available and a fridge which was useful. Overall, we shall consider staying here again.
