Burrstone Inn, an Ascend Collection Hotel
Always stay here when visiting family. Breakfast is better than many others (although admittedly always same - eggs, sausage, potatoes, but fixed very well). Bacon and eggs other than scrambled eggs (i.e. eggs to make breakfast sandwich) would be nice. Staff was friendly.

Red Roof Inn Utica
The check in person was outstanding...courteous, friendly, helpful. He noticed that we're older folks and offered us a first floor room with parking right outside the door, which we appreciated. The only negatives were that even though it was obvious the bath had been cleaned, no extra rolls of toilet ...
