To start the room smelled so bad! Dust everywhere and we had to climb over the bed to get to the bathroom. The second night the key stopped working and we had to walk in the freezing cold to go get them make the keys work again.

The room was adequate and clean on arrival. The shower was adequate and both the Wi-Fi and TV worked well. There is plenty of parking outside and the front desk gave us extra towels when we asked. Both the wall heater and gas fireplace worked ok (the gas wall furnace made some ticking noises that is caused by the metal contracting when it turned off everytime though).

Pros: -The staff let us check in an hour early. -the curtains kept pretty much all the light out at night. Cons: -room was VERY small. -we couldn’t find the primer for the fireplace; we called the staff, they gave us generic instructions, said they would send someone up to help it in a bit, but no one came. -all night long, we heard what sounded like water dripping from the ceiling. -this one’s from my wife: the bed was NOT comfortable.

Check in was stressful. The person that checked us in was on the phone the whole time so the info that was given to us was confusing. Hotel rooms are a bit run down and even though it’s a great location in the heart of big bear it’s located on a high traffic zone so getting in and out of the hotel wasn’t the easiest. Won’t stay here again.

Things weren’t very clean, the coffee maker seemed dirty, the jetted tub had debris and hair that’s not my family’s color in it. The beds were wildly uncomfortable. They gave us 2 towels for 4 people and never brought more when we asked. There was a sign saying there would be a fee for dirty dishes but there was no dish soap,
