The location was right on the lake- that was pretty. We were notified 1-day prior to arrival that the pool was closed for service. There was a giant, construction style fence around the entire pool area that was very unsightly. “Sorry” was the extent of addressing the issue. Had I known, I’d have selected another spot simply to avoid the tremendous eyesore. The bottom of our door let in a tremendous amount of light. The door lock felt secure. You could tell there had been a freshening up of sorts with new materials throughout the room with the exception of smelly drapes. There was swampy lake access however it looked too difficult to navigate. This location included free parking and was roughly $100 cheaper than another spot I was interested in. It met my expectations of ‘motel’. There was a microwave and fridge in room.

Stayed for the weekend at Big Bear Frontier. The check-in process could have been smoother—was told I’d get a text when the room was ready, but it never came. After calling a few times (and getting hung up on), I finally confirmed the room was ready. The location, however, is excellent—right on the lake, next to a new bar, and walking distance to the Village. The room itself was clean and had a decent fridge, but the bed and pillows weren’t very comfortable. No housekeeping during the stay, which was fine for a short trip. Overall, I’d stay again and may try one of the cabins next time.

The accommodations were pleasant and comfortable, although the beds could be improved. Specifically, the pull-out bed in the living room was quite noisy, and it caused some discomfort. Perhaps upgrading the beds would enhance the overall experience. Aside from that, the stay was satisfactory.

The lodge room was very clean and comfortable with air conditioning, however the walls are paper thin. The people around us had dogs which we could hear barking clearly (and loudly) through the walls, and we could hear entire conversations from the next room over. Definitely needs some sound proofing, or bring earplugs. The staff was really kind though and the property is in a great area, within walking distance to the main shops.

Although we have been going here for years, it had been a while. We were pleasantly surprised. They have upgraded the cabins and added a wonderful fire pit. We had a view of the water and loved being walking distance to everything we needed.

I took my daughter and her cousin away for the weekend.I meant to book a cabin but ended up booking a standard double bed.I was bummed out at first but when I got to the property it worked out in our favor the hotel is closer to the lake with better view boat rentals and amusement park is close by
