Old hotel partially updated.

There are not a lot of hotels to choose from in Big Bear. We stayed here over Presidents’ Day weekend and paid way too much money. This hotel is definitely not worth $550 a night. It appears to be an older hotel partially updated. The storage in the room was appreciated, and the beds were actually very comfortable, but outside of that everything was average or below, including the service. Also, they should consider having a shuttle service to the ski mountain. We had to walk, which was just under a mile, but with ski gear and kids, that is a lot.

Old, dim lighting, dusty, allergies were terrible, fireplace didn't work, straits in the path to 2nd floor, with a stroller it was inconvenience to go to the room and check out, had to carry luggage via stairs. Restaurant was closed. I will never book this hotel again.

It was a nice stay with a good Continental breakfast. Not just cereal. Actual food, like sausages, bacon, eggs, fruit, oatmeal, bagels, etc. Nice dining area that we used as a quiet space to work as well.
