The only positive about this hotel is its central position. Unfortunately, everything else fell far below even basic expectations.
The carpets throughout the room were stained, and the vent in the toilet was broken and wouldn’t switch off. It sounded like someone was hoovering outside our door we waited a good couple of hours. When we tried to call reception to report it, the phone in the room didn’t work either.
We went downstairs to complain and were told someone would come up. The staff member who arrived rudely explained that if you stand in the toilet and twist the vent, it might stop because it sometimes gets jammed. Are guests genuinely expected to do that themselves?
There was also no hot water. A member of staff had to come into the room and start turning taps under the sink before telling us the shower had an “air pocket”. When he said this, I honestly thought he was joking.
The bath was stained, the carpets were stained, and even the breakfast was poor.
Super disappointed. I would avoid.
