Handy on site parking, free of charge. Short walk to all amenities. Hotel has character. Warm bedroom but towel rail In bathroom not working. The bathroom wasn’t cold though. Friendly staff. Would stay there again.

Off road parking which is helpful. Easy and friendly check in. Staff at the bar were really friendly. Food was great. Hotel room was spacious and clean, if a little dated - as the hotel is old we did expected this. Hotel located in the centre so within walking distance of where we wanted to go. Would stay in this hotel if going back to the area

The room was very clean. The building itself is very old but is kept in a very clean condition. The staff were friendly, attentive nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was really good as there was so many gluten free options to choose from and it was cooked to perfection. Parking was at the back of the hotel and felt safe at all times. This is an Ideal location for visiting the town with so much choice of places to eat.

Great stay and food

Great hotel and staff. I had an issue with my room at 10:30pm and by 10:40pm I was in a new room. Mega good service going above and beyond. I also had food and that was good value for money (as was the room) and tasty. I will be staying here again.

There were limited parking spaces at the hotel. I then located a long stay car park directly behind the hotel but had to drive around one way to get to it. A slight inconvenience and would use the car park again as safe and low cost.

Lovely Stay

I have stayed at the KH before,hence I went back,as visiting friends in the area.The rooms are a bit dated,but spacious enough and comfortable.Parking is available.The bar staff were friendly,very efficient and helpful.The Reception team were also great.Lots of coffee shops and pubs nearby.

Great staff let down by room

Easy check in as staff through out were amazing. Breakfast was really good and staff couldnt do enough to help. But the room let it all down. Although as firt look it looked quiet nice but as you looked closer it was very shaby. Paint work flaky around the window and the below the radiator the paint work was spoty. Radiator was falling apart.Bathroom was shaby and old to with broken tiles stuck back on and flooring coming up around the towel rail. Toilet ran all night and even with the door shut you couldn't help tuning in to it dripping keeping us awake. But to be honest the chimes from the church clock was just as bad even with the window closed . We liked wimborne lovley little town but eould not stay at the kings head again as belive rhe hot at £148 a night was not good value for such a shaby room.

Great location

Great location for all bars, restaurants and shops in Wimborne. 300 year hotel and the towel rail was permanently on which made the room very warm.
