We had a lovely 4 night stay in Leighton House. We stayed in a comfort double room which was nice. Breakfast was good. Pleasant staff. Will stay again.

We received a warm welcome, and was quickly shown to our room - which was an ideal size for us. We enquired about parking and an Indian restaurant before we went up. When we came back downstairs, we were presented with a map and other information relating to our query. The people that clean the premises do an excellent job - everywhere was spotless. There was a very good selection for breakfast - every taste was catered for. The English breakfast was freshly cooked, antd asted as good aaslooked as it looked as it looked. Leighton House is an excellent place or stay when visiting Bath.

We had a fabulous stay at Leighton House. The bed was so comfy and I really loved the pillows, nice and plump. Breakfast was great, lovely hot veggie choices aongside the continental buffet. All the staff were super friendly. Thanks for a great stay!

Absolutely first rate room. Very luxurious. We’d have welcomed a fridge, but otherwise absolute perfection. The bedroom and bathroom were enormous with whirlpool bath and shower. Breakfast was so good. Immaculate breakfast room and lovely staff. Freshly cooked to order with some pastries and yoghurt on a self serve area. Short walk to town which didn’t bother us. Parking was great. Nice touches here and there like water and umbrellas. A first rate place. Top end for a good price. We did find it odd that the self serve bar was shut so early. Wouldn’t it make more sense to have a mini bar in the rooms? And the shower grout needed a good scrub in some areas. These were the downsides and we’ll definitely be back.

We had a wonderful stay at Leighton House and giving the parking situation in Bath I was very relieved the hotel had a small onsite parking lot. The staff are very helpful and friendly. I was a little disappointed with the daily room service. We stayed 3 nights and although we left the notice on the door for ‘room service’ our towels were never changed. As a heads up to other guests, Bath is very hilly, and it’s a pretty long uphill walk from center city, up Wells Road, to the Leighton House.

Not a great nights sleep, poor sound insulation

The guest house is nice and serves a very good breakfast but it lacks amenities and the rooms are very basic. The biggest issue we had was the lack of sound insulation. We could clearly hear snoring from another room, and when the other room had a shower, it sounded like there was rain pelting on a flat roof above. Conversation could also be clearly be heard. I guess we were a little unlucky as our neighbours were really early risers and it meant we didn’t get a very good nights sleep, and above all else, it’s what I want more than anything from a hotel/guest house.
