New property so everything was very clean and comfortable. Room is spacious and clean Not sure if we were on a smoking floor (11th) but upon opening the door for the first time, the room smelled of smoke. We had city view and at night, the noise from the roundabout could be heard. Room could be better soundproofed.

Grand Mercure Batam – Comfort, Class & Convenience Our stay at Grand Mercure Batam was an absolute win. From the moment we arrived, the service felt premium yet welcoming. The location is a big highlight — close to shopping, food spots, and just a short ride to Batam’s main attractions. Perfect whether you’re here to relax or explore. Breakfast was excellent, with a wide spread of local and international options, and the hotel facilities like the pool and gym were clean, well-maintained, and relaxing after a day out. What really stood out was the staff — friendly, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. You genuinely feel looked after. I generally prefer to stay at international chain hotels when I travel, as they offer a consistent standard of service and quality no matter where I am—and this hotel certainly lived up to those expectations. From the moment I stepped into the lobby, I was impressed by the stunning and thoughtfully designed interior. The décor is modern, tasteful, and exudes a sense of quiet luxury. The hotel is relatively new, and everything from the furnishings to the amenities feels fresh and well-maintained. My room was cosy and comfortable, with a great bed that ensured a restful night’s sleep. I appreciated the little touches—soft linens, ambient lighting, and a well-appointed bathroom. What truly made the stay outstanding, though, was the service. The staff here are genuinely warm, polite, and attentive. From the front desk to the restaurant team, everyone made me feel welcome and well taken care of. They were always ready to assist with a smile, which added a very personal touch to my stay. Breakfast was another highlight. The spread was extensive, with both local and international options, freshly prepared and beautifully presented. There was something for everyone—from hearty hot dishes to lighter, healthy choices. Overall, this hotel ticked all the right boxes for me. Excellent service, beautiful interiors, a comfortable room, and a generous breakfast—it’s everything I look for in a stay. I wouldn’t hesitate to return.
