The hotel was clean, spacious and comfortable. I would have preferred the bed to have had a thinner duvet as the room was hot and it was too noisy too sleep with the window open. There were tea making facilities in the room and the receptionists were happy to supply extra tea bags when asked. The hotel is 2 minutes away from bus stops to and from the main station, and near a major landmark so it's easy to find. It's also within walking distance of the shopping centre and tourist spots. There was a varied selection of food for breakfast and always fresh fruit in reception to provide an evening snack.

To tell you the truth, I was surprise that this was a four star hotel... The room was ok but the bathroom was very small and it was almost difficult to get through the door (I am a normal size person and certainly not fat!)

We arrived at the Hotel very early since we were leaving a cruise. The staff was extremely friendly. They took our luggage and locked it up and gave us so much information to go out and spend the day in beautiful Basel! Our only issue was it was very hot in our room and I couldn't figure out how to turn down the heat. It was a small issue which I am sure would have been resolved if I had called the front desk. I would absolutely stay there again!

This was a spacious room. It is not close to the Viking dock. The good part was it was across the street from the botanical garden. The staf were helpful getting us to he Viking ship on time.
