I am hiking a section of the Te Araroa trail from Auckland to Hamilton and came across Heavens Rest as a logistical stop. I stayed in a 1 bedroom cottage and couldn’t have been more impressed with the tranquility after a long hike, comfy bed and fridge filled with juice, fresh milk, eggs, bread and yogurt. Robert even drove me back to the trail in the morning - highly recommend

The Kea cabin is very well appointed, including eggs in the fridge, juices and fruit included. The bed is very comfortable and it's a quiet location for a good sleep. Conveniently close to the motorway but no traffic noise can be heard. We enjoyed our overnight stay here.

Was meet by Robert who took us to our lodge. The lodge was clean and tidy with the fridge stocked with milk, bread , eggs , butter and Yogurt and fruit all of which we were most grateful. The upper cupboards had cereals and tea and coffee.. all in all a lovely place to stay

A beautiful, new and very comfortable site. The unit was immaculate and everything worked great. New appliances. We had 2 bedrooms, each with an ensuite - very handy. Take some care with the last few Apple map directions in as it seems to involve a shortcut through a gas station, then a turn on to a small gravel drive.
