I was so excited about staying at deer park, I had herd such fantastic things about it. We booked a king sized bed with a spa bath. Bed was very comfortable although we found someone elses hair in the bed. TV was nice and clean, internet was extremely slow and booted us out every 15mins and cromecast would not connect due to this reason, so was forced to watch free to air tv. Bathtub was huge, didn't work, was filthy, no shower curtain if you decided to have a shower. Tiles around the bottom of the bathroom were all cracked and broken, souround of the bathtub was black with mold. The room is obviously booked for 2 people although there was only 1 set of toiletries provided and 1 set of cuttlery. Unfortunately it was raining the whole time we were there so we didnt get to feed the deer (or even see them for that matter) and we didnt venture over to the heated pool so I cannot comment on that. All and all I was highly disappointed in the outdated, filthy, rude service provided at the deer park. 100% do not recommend I will not stay agin!

I wish i knew that there was an indoor heated pool. I would have lived a swim after graduation celebrations. The host was nice, and let me into thevroom early to get ready for my graduation. I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the room.

Overall room was suitable and comfortable however room was not cleaned completely before arrival. Pill on ground from previous visitors, soap chunks in shower, lots of stains on carpet.

The deer were gorgeous- the pool facility was clean and easy to access. The room was spacious, bed was fabulously comfortable. Bathroom needed maintenance (handbasin). Missed breakfast due to sleeping in - maybe next time….. Would definitely stay again.

We wouldn’t stay here again

The guy at reception was nice but our room was less than impressive. The toilet seat was filthy and hadn’t been cleaned. There was also a huge gap under the door that 2 cockroaches and a cricket crawled under. I had to chase them around. Man, crickets are fast, and they can fly! I ended up scrunching up the footer thing at the end of the bed and using it to block the gap. Definitely the kind of place where you wear thongs in the shower. To top it off, the smell of cigarette smoke and weed was coming through our door all night, from our neighbour in the next room, reaking havoc with my asthma. They offer a free breakfast, but my wife wasn’t interested in eating here. We were glad to get out of there.

The room I stayed in was big and roomy. And very quiet, I didn't hear any noise. The main curtain was thick and heavy and blocked out most of the outside light. A good supply of tea and coffee and towels. Yes I would be happy to stay again if I am in Armidale.

Concierge was extremely courteous and helpful throughout our stay, and bent over backwards to Kate to our convenience. The deer are absolutely lovely, and the room spacious. Would highly recommend.

It was lovely staying at the Deer Park Motor inn, their USP is deers, very well maintained and affordable. We and our daughter loved playing with deers and feeding them. Definitely if we are going to come again to Armidale it’s going to our stay.

They say you get what you pay for and thankfully all we wanted was a comfortable bed to sleep in and anice how shower. We got both, but I have to comment about the huge job that lays ahead to fix the pavers on the driveways.

We were disappointed about the overall condition of the property. We used to live in Armidale and remember this motel in excellent condition. The surrounds are unkept, the dinning was very limited- not what was advertised. The condition of the bathroom was very poor- mould, soap scum in the bath and broken hairdryer and bath surrounds. The bed was comfortable, the shower hot and when called to bring towels, as none had been left, the manager was prompt. Unfortunately we will not recommend this property nor will we be staying here again. We have a large family funeral in the next few weeks and will not recommend the Deer Park Motel.
