The front desk person who checked me in after a very turbulent travel day was such a genuine and warm comfort! I believe they had just started working there and are already proving that they’re a great fit. I loved our room and waking up to the canal view out our window in the morning. The vibes were just right. I will absolutely be back!

Awesome hotel for the true Amsterdam experience. 17th century canal house converted to hotel with young and super friendly staff. They provide these little touches with welcome snacks, coffee, lounge and parting gift. Loved my tiny room facing the canal with the light rain and homes across the way for the authentic Amsterdam experience.

Great stay. Highly recommend. Staff very nice. Room was clean. Before we toured the city we would start our day with a coffee in the lobby/kitchen area. After our long day we looked forward to getting back to the hotel and grabbing a hot coco and a pastry before heading to our room. Staying here was such a delight.

I loved Mr. Jordaan. I only had 16 hours to get a glimpse of Amsterdam, and their location was perfect. Everything is walking distance, with the canals right out of the doorstep. My room was cute, personal bathroom kind of small, yet tidy. Staff was amazingly helpful with directions of where to go site-see. I would stay there again.

We had a great stay. All the staff were great and friendly. The room was great. Location great. Minor things… people above us were a bit noisy late, but they sound like they were having fun. The bathroom was fine but was a bit awkward with the beam right over the sink.. being tall posed some hazards in the shower and near the sink.. I guess that is understandable with the building age. Overall great stay. Thanks!

We loved the friendliness and relaxed atmosphere of Mr Jordaan. The canal-side setting is peaceful and beautiful, just a few minutes walk from bars and cafes. The room had everything we needed for our 3 night stay and the staff were friendly, cheerful and helpful at all times. A cool hotel, we loved it!

Two lovely days in Amsterdam

Stayed two nights at Mr. Jordaan. The room was clean, if small. That said, I highly recommend this hotel. The service was above and beyond what I have ever experienced at a hotel. The employees were helpful in planning our days and greeted us like we had been their long lost guests. We found the amenities in the common area very welcoming. Beautifully located so that every walk from the hotel took us to another fantastic location in the city. Would definitely stay here again.

The overall stay was just ok. There are number of positives about hotel. The location is excellent- quiet, very beautiful, and a short walk to cafes. The staff is friendly and helpful. However the condition of room and bathroom is 2 stars only. The room is darkly lit, the shower is tiny. The bed is very uncomfortable. If you are a couple you will be sleeping on separate small twin size beds that stand together but aren’t attached together. Little movement pulls them apart. I don’t want to stay there again.
