My only dissatisfaction was our room not being ready by check in. The hotel staff focused on a large group of students and we waited hours to be able to get a room. They were late checking us in.

This was just a few minutes walk from the Rejksmuseum. Also, all of the other major art museums are nearby. It is easy to get to by hopping on a tram outside the Central train station.

Skip this….

The best thing about this hotel is the front desk staff. Typically people do not (and should not) book a hotel for the front desk staff. The rooms are small. I reserved a room for 2 adults and a child (that’s the estimated size of the room), the room was a joke! 2 adults could barely fit. The cleaning crew barely cleans, bathroom never cleaned, used cups in the rooms were never changed or washed during cleaning, floors not vacuumed….. I was there with family… multiple rooms and we all had the same complaints. Eventually we stopped asking to get our rooms cleaned. Skip this hotel, just skip it.

Stayed Aug 17–21, 2025. Found multiple ants on the bed sheets upon arrival, and despite the sheets being changed, my sister was bitten three times overnight. No alternative room or compensation was offered. Very disappointed with the cleanliness and the lack of proactive resolution. Would not recommend.

First time in Amsterdam

The only thing good going for this hotel is the location. It’s 3 to 4 minute walk from and two the Rijksmuseum. The room is tiny. Very noisy. AC, not working well enough, the hotel controls it. Was never able to use the TV because staff wasn’t able to make it work. The lower level called Souterrain room was terribly noisy because hotel laundry and deliveries were coming in and out of that area -doors were always slamming. Anything you needed and or asked for staff would pass it on to their colleagues. Nothing ever got done.

Close to public transportation, easy to get to Centraal station by tram. The neighborhood is gorgeous, everything very walkable. Our only complaint was the air conditioning locked at 20C, so we couldn't make it any cooler on hot summer afternoons, or nights. It made sleeping a little difficult. However, we definitely hope to visit again one day!
