We stayed here for a couple days in the middle of summer and it is a great place to explore downtown Burlington and the water. It's also close to the arts district and weekend activities like the farmers market (which is more food stalls than vegetables). I loved the hotel, its amenities and the location and we would definitely stay again.

There is a $28/night “Urban Destination Fee” charged by the hotel, plus $16/night parking + the city tax. So count on $50 additional cost/night. The lake/mtn. view was amazing!

Paying for the lake view, which is AMAZING!!! That being said, you have to go out of your room to get a cup of coffee in the morning, why not have a machine in the room? Could not find a shower cap in the bathroom, the elevator was making an annoying sound all night long (my room was close to it and could hear it), nothing really special to justify the high price and at check out you have more fees. Pool was cold, not heated like it used to be, as I heard from other guests. I would not go back if the price still high, it’s just not worth it.

We have stayed at the Hotel Champlain several times over the past year. The staff has always been very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet looked very good and with the $10 off coupon received at check-in the price was reasonable for one person. Without the coupon, however, it seemed a little pricey.

Great location over looking Lake Champlain with easy access to shoreline walking trails and parks. Enjoyed our two night stay in the area even with rain. Lakeview room was nice to have with large windows. Not impressed with on site cafe. Dry pastries and lukewarm coffee.
