The sheets and blankets smelled disgusting like they haven’t been washing! Especially the pillows. The top lock was missing on the door so I was afraid all night. The paint in the shower was peeling off. You could see the nasty filth underneath. None of us showered

We stayed at this La Quinta due to it being close to our car maintenance shop because our car broke down in Albuquerque New Mexico. We checked in on Tuesday the ninth and checked out on 11 December. We for two days towed the staff we did not have hot water they assured us that if we turn the valve to the water on the shower, a certain way, we would have hot water. We complained both the night in the 10th. We asked for a late check out on the 11th due to our car being ready later on in the afternoon, they refuse us to have that even though they do have an early check-in that they allowed people to pay $50 to check in at 12 $25 to check in at one and then the 3 PM Check-in, which cost nothing. They denied us having that they referred us to the gym which he was very condescending. He did not want to speak to my wife. He wanted to speak to me he dismissed our claims of not having any hot water. He said he was not aware. Even though we have reported it two days in a row and we had someone call our room on the first night of stay, which was the night and asked if we had any complaints and we told them that night that there was no hot water. We were towed that there was a sweet spot you had to get on the spot fit, which we never found. Apparently we also found out that there was multiple complaints of not having hot water and the GM when we talk with him asked me to lower my voice because he didn’t want anyone else to hear. We reported this to the Better Business Bureau and Expedia

Main issues were the ridiculous policies around lost "breakfast passes." We were told they couldnt be replaced even if we verified ourselves. We had to "check out" pool towels with the threat of a $25 charge per towel if anything happened and they werent returned to the desk. There was a warning of a $25 charge for any towel that was "discolored" leading us to feel we shouldnt bother even touching them. Breakfast was gross and tasted old. And staff except like 2 were rude. Last but not really important. The pool was ICE cold.Maybe have it room temp at least.

The room was very clean and roomy. Staff was very courteous at the front desk and so was the breakfast staff. I was very impressed with the pancake maker. No mess just press a button and it makes 1-4 pancakes. I would highly recommend staying here I would definitely stay again.

The first room had a water leak. Second one had a broken picture on floor. Not a good neighborhood and doesn’t feel safe when taking dog outside. Appreciate that they allow pets and fee is only $25. Lady that checked us in was nice and courteous. Room was quiet. Overall it was ok but probably won’t return.
