I stayed at this hotel for three nights at the end of August 2025. The hotel has a private car park with plenty of spaces. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The room and en-suite bathroom I was allocated were clean and both very well equipped. The bed was comfortable and I had a great nights sleep. The breakfast was excellent. I would recommend this hotel and would stay there again.

The room we were given was not very good at all and not worth the 4 stars as advertised. There was mould on the curtains and all through the shower cubical. There was loose floor tile on the entrance to the bathroom which are dangerous. The curtain rail was held up with ribbon. The staff however were really good to deal with, the owner/Manager was really welcoming and couldnt do enough to help with anything else we needed. The breakfast was very good quality and very nice, the chef was helpful and would change the breakfast to suit if you needed. The hotel in general needs updating and tidying up as I feel we over paid for the experience we got and would not visit again while it's in the state it is.

This accommodation is perfectly located - less than 5 minutes walk from bars, cafés, restaurants & shops...less than 1 mile from attractions (World of Beatrix Potter) & the main hub. The staff were very friendly and helpful (my elderly Mum was incorrectly allocated a twin room, however the Receptionist promptly offered a replacement double room for her). The rooms were spacious and included a king sized bed (very comfortable), large tv, selection of tea/coffee, range of toiletries...however there were the occasional areas of improvement (cord for window blind too high, only one chair in a double room). Breakfast was great - large selection of continental items (cereal, mixed fruit, yogurts, pastries, toast, teas/coffee, fruit juices) & a range of hot foods to order...all top quality and tasty. The car park has a good number of spaces (albeit some of the 'bays' are narrow). If I was to return to Windermere, this would be my first choice to stay!

Amazing!!

Absolutely loved my stay here. The room was big and very clean. The bathroom was huge and spotless. I slept better than at home, the bed was so comfy! The breakfast was lovely too. I can’t fault anything and will definitely stay here again and recommend to family and friends.

Needs better beds and good housekeeping-cleaning.

If you want an affordable place to stay it will work. However, if you want comfy bed, clean room, floors, towels and linens, not a good choice. Facility in desperate need of Good housekeeping, otherwise would be a nice venue due to the location.
