However there are several aspects that I think prospective visitors need to be aware of before booking. The spa had a very strange vibe, it felt like an environment to encourage drinking alcohol as there was a bar in the spa rather than feeling like a relaxing environment. It was incredibly dark & a strange set up having to walk through the hotel car park to get to the pub where you then had to walk through in your robe & slippers whilst other visitors were sat eating.

Good but could have been better

The spa was nice and relaxing albeit quite small. The staff were very professional and friendly and helpful. Unfortunately our room was very cold, the heating didn't seem to be on, even though the radiators were. And also the water was luke warm, with random seconds of scolding water. When we checked out there was other rooms with the same issue, and we were refunded our £12 parking, which seemed almost insulting given we had spent over £500 with them. And to top it off, the weather was horrendous and used the hot tub for 20 minutes and then had to come back to a cold room and a cold shower, but I appreciate that the weather wasn't the fault of the hotel
