Great stay

We had a great time here, the room was spacious and all the staff were very friendly. The only downsides were that a gym is advertised on the hotel listing which there isn’t one & we both paid £90 for a full body massage and after asking for firm pressure it was more on the softer side.

We had a very disappointing stay at the lakes hotel and spa. Our first impression of the hotel was arriving Friday evening and having a relaxing spa at the end of our journey. What we arrived to was a unlit dark and seedy room with empty alcohol glasses all over the tables and 7 couples being intimate in the pool. Whilst I can't blame the hotel for the guests behaviour, it's important for prospective guests to be aware of the vibes of the place. We left the spa immediately and it was a similar experience when we tried again on Saturday late afternoon. The mix of alcohol and no natural light was an unpleasant one. The room was nice, spacious and clean but the location doesn't really lend itself well to exploring the lake district (this was my mistake in booking accommodation in the area). The breakfast was satisfactory. I can understand the parking charges which are clear and upfront as there is limited capacity but it felt like a kick in the teeth after an already expensive weekend.

My wife and I really enjoyed our recent stay at The Lakes Hotel & Spa. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout, and we were pleasantly surprised with the upgrade to a room with a hot tub – a lovely touch that really made our stay feel special. The room itself was spot on – clean, comfortable, and perfect for relaxing. We also had dinner at Mizumi, which was a real highlight. The food was excellent and full of flavour – we especially liked the sharing plates. Overall, we’d rate our stay a solid 10/10. We’ will definitely be back again in the near future.

Visited hotel for our anniversary and had a wonderful stay! The location was perfect and near by all amenities. The reception staff at check in and the concierge made us feel very welcome with a lovely glass of Prosecco and a tour of the hotel. We booked a junior suite with hot tub that was really spacious and clean. We ate in both the cocktail bar and their Thai restaurant Mizumi and both were exceptional. Every staff member that we encountered couldn’t do enough for you and always with a smile. Will definitely be back and highly recommend.
