Lovely place to stay in Whangarei

Delightful stay. Great location. Staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming. The rooms are very well appointed and spotless. Can’t go wrong staying here.

Still the best in Whangarei

Outstanding stay. I used to stay here when it first opened decades ago all the time but this is my first trip back in a long time and its still outstanding. Well appointed, homely style furniture and while its not modern it has a great quality and vibe about it. Highly reccomend.

Absolutely superb. Receptionist Josh was very helpful both with regard to our room and with local directions. The facilities in room were first class. Bed really comfortable, good kitchen facilities, jet tub in bathroom (with bath salts), and roomy. Also chairs / settee for you both to use. Could not have been better - excellent value in contrast with where we are staying in Rotoroa tonight which only has one chair for us and not enough room to swing a cat

After a long day of driving, we pulled into the Lodge. The young man at reception was friendly and accommodating. We entered our unit and we were so happy to see a spacious, modern apartment unit with a beautiful balcony where we enjoyed a late night supper. Our only regret was that we had to leave the next day.

The staff was great and the only real issue was the location. Once we got there we did not want to drive into town for dinner. I will say, however, I did not see many (if any) hotels in the down town area or near the water so it just may be the way the city is laid out.

Clean and friendly.

This was our first night's stay in NZ after the plane from Singapore. V friendly lady on reception who gave us some milk for tea. We were allocated room 6 which was spotlessly clean but needs, in my opinion, a new mattress. It is too soft. Kitchen is well stocked.

Excellent and cosy

Such a beautiful place to stay. Linda was an incredible host and helpful. Room was gorgeous, spa bath an extra beautiful bonus. Plunger coffee and make up bathroom fluffy towels. Excellent pressure shower and incredibly comfortable bed. Road noise didnt bother me as im a good sleeper anyway. Loved my stay and will definitely return if staying in Whangarei

Relaxing, welcoming and attractive lodge.

Modern, very comfortable studio unit. Excellent supply of bathroom necessities, including shower cap. Darker makeup flannel, always appreciated. Kitchenette with good supply of utensils, S&P, cooking oil, Plunger coffee and range of teas. Sadly, we didn't have enough spare time to use the pool, but wish we had. Even though the Lodge is on a very busy main road, we couldn't hear the traffic noise. Would definitely stay here again. No shops, cafes or restaurants within walking distance, but didn't feel that was a problem.
