Great communication from Powder House Lodge prior to check in. Staff is very friendly. Rooms are small but are comfortable. Restaurant has great food and is very popular.

There are a lot of steps to the cabins or rooms up the hill. So, if you have old achy knees, think twice. We had to walk up 16 or more stone steps up a steep embankment to get to our room. Painful! Most cabins or room had wooden steps. The good part was the staff were nice, helpful, friendly. The on-property restaurant served breakfast, lunch and dinner and was very good and reasonable. Had a beautiful setting.

Very unique layout. Log cabin look. Conveniently right off highway, 3 minutes outside of business district of Keystone. Excellent breakfast, made to order, reasonable prices. I'd give it a 7.5/10 on wheelchair ADA ACCESSIBILITY.

Very cute cabins, nice being outside the main tourist strip of Keystone, staff was nice. When we checked in the cabin heat was off though and it was quite cold (May), took a while to warm up. The bed was quite uncomfortable and we actually decided not to stay a second night because of this.

Very spacious cabin #10. Across the street from the lodge. Very clean, didn't have spices or any wraps like tin foil. Your basic kitchen. Bring your own leftover containers and such, salts and peppers and spices for cooking . Very quiet even being next to the staff quarters. Pretty landscapes, bugs were not bad either. A week after memorial day weekend.

Great heated pool and little playground for the kids. Our room was by the road but the ac drowned out the noise from the road. I like a fan noise when sleeping but at times the ac was a little too loud, otherwise great stay, great food at restaurant also.

Great setting in Black Hills, very efficient & friendly staff.. Power went off for 3 hours while I was dining. Cabin walls paper thin so I could hear everything next door as if we were in same room

Great location for exploring Mount Rushmore and surrounding Needles Highway and Sylvan Lake. Cabins were clean and comfy. The restaurant was really good too. Nice pool and playground for kids. Highly recommended.

The room was small but nice enough. The power went out when we returned to the room. Not their fault at all ! The restaurant was outstanding. The food was incredible and the staff was five star worthy. I would stay there again and again.
