Hotel was very nice and location is great. However check- in on two different days was horrendous and took 15-30 minutes the two days. Expedia was great on the second day getting a reservation explained to the staff but the 2 women at the desk were completely inept.

I have no complaints about the hotel itself but check-ins on 2 days were both horrible. I had made reservations on Expedia for 2 rooms on a Friday for 2 days and another room on Sat for 1 night. The desk clerks were completely incompetent and could not understand. On the second day I had to get Expedia to call them and get it straightened out. If the hotel does not want to work with travel site websites, they should take their hotel off of them. It took 15 minutes to check in the first day and a good 1/2 hour the second day. This was my second stay at the Alexandrian Hotel. The staff are friendly, accommodating and professional. There was a problem with my room but the team rallied to fix the problem and ultimately move me to another room. I will definitely stay here again.

Weekend getaway

Although first impressions of tattered entry rugs, the hotel was welcoming. The staff were friendly and accmmodating, The evening started with a complimentary drink (either sangria or an old fashioned). Being directly on King street , it allowed for easy walking to the waterfront, restaurants and pubs. The free King street trolley was an added bonus. Our room was clean and comfortable

Perfect Location

Gorgeous hotel in the heart of Old Town Alexandra. Just steps out the door to the lively walkable streets full of restaurants and shops. The hotel is high end but not stuffy - enjoyed the daily cocktail half hour in the beautiful lobby.
